IOF injures journalist dozens others in Kafr Qaddoum

A Palestinian journalist was shot and injured and several protesters suffocated from teargas on Friday when Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) cracked down on the weekly protest in Kafr Qaddoum village east of Qalqilia.

Murad Shtewi coordinator of the popular resistance in the village reported that Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated rounds at the protesters to disperse them injuring press photographer Nedal Shtayeh.

Shtayeh was shot in the chest while many suffocation cases were caused from gas inhalation he added.

Hundreds of Palestinians had participated in the weekly protest against Israeli settlements in the village of Kafr Qaddoum and in solidarity with Khan al-Ahmar village.
