The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday evening set up a military checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the West Bank city of Qalqilya.
Eyewitnesses said that the IOF stopped the Palestinian vehicles passing through the checkpoint searched them and scrutinized the passengers’ IDs.
They added that the checkpoint blocked the Palestinian citizens’ movement in the area causing a traffic jam and forcing some drivers to look for alternative roads.
The Israeli forces every now and then erect temporary checkpoints at the entrances of the West Bank villages and towns as a way to crack down on the Palestinians.
