The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday evening set up a military checkpoint at the main entrance to Deir Ballut village west of Salfit.
Eyewitnesses said that the IOF soldiers stopped the Palestinian vehicles passing through the entrance and scrutinized the passengers’ IDs.
The witnesses said that the checkpoint caused a traffic jam in the area pushing dozens of Palestinian drivers to look for alternative roads.
The Israeli forces every now and then erect temporary checkpoints at the entrances of the West Bank villages and towns in an attempt to crack down on the Palestinian citizens.
