IOF kidnaps 15 West Bankers in overnight raids

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Tuesday kidnapped 15 Palestinian citizens from their homes in different West Bank areas.

In Nablus city the IOF ransacked homes and kidnapped citizens during a campaign in the eastern district.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli soldiers raided metalworking shops in Amman street east of the city belonging to the families of al-Bizra and Shahin and confiscated equipment.

A large number of Israeli troops also stormed at dawn Balata refugee camp in Nablus and ransacked homes and stores.

A young man called Sa’eed al-Miskawi was reportedly kidnapped from his home during the IOF campaign in Balata camp.

Local sources also reported hearing sounds of intensive gunshots coming from al-Souq area of the camp.

In Qalqiliya the IOF stormed the towns of Jayyous and Azzun kidnapped two Palestinian citizens and interrogated others.

Eyewitnesses told the PIC that widespread skirmishes broke out with Israeli soldiers in different neighborhoods of Azzun town

Similar clashes also took place in Qalqiliya city where the IOF intensively fired tear gas grenades at local young men and nearby homes.

In al-Khalil province the IOF stormed different areas and carried out arrests among Palestinian citizens especially in al-Khalil city and Dura town.

Local sources told the PIC that six young men including a child and ex-detainees were taken prisoners during the IOF campaign in Dura town.

Israeli soldiers also broke into and pillaged the house of detained journalist Mohamed al-Qeeq in Dura

Moreover the Israeli army stormed and intensified its presence in other areas of the West Bank including Nahalin village in Bethlehem.

Locals in Nahalin said that Israeli soldiers ransacked many homes in their village at the pretext of looking for clues leading to those who set fire to a power transformer near a security fence in the area.
