IOF kidnaps 21 Palestinians in West Bank campaigns

Tuesday 2-October-2018

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday arrested 21 Palestinians during large-scale campaigns in the West Bank.

The Israeli occupation army said in a statement that 21 “wanted” Palestinians were arrested on Tuesday for being involved in popular resistance activities against Israeli targets.

The IOF at daybreak carried out raid and search campaigns against Palestinian houses in Tulkarem Occupied Jerusalem al-Khalil and Jenin.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that some ex-prisoners were among the detainees and noted that some detainees were transferred to undeclared destinations.

Violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and the IOF in Anza town south of Jenin according to local residents. A number of Palestinian citizens suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling teargas fired by Israeli soldiers.

Such dawn campaigns are witnessed on a daily basis in the West Bank provinces. Based on official statistics there are 6500 Palestinians currently held in Israeli lock-ups.
