Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday launched large-scale sweeps in the West Bank and Jerusalem raiding homes and arresting Palestinian citizens.
Local sources said that at least 9 Palestinian citizens were kidnapped from their homes in Ramallah al-Bireh Nablus Jericho Qalqilya al-Khalil Jenin and Jerusalem.
The IOF violently searched the detainees’ houses and wreaked havoc on them the same sources added.
Local residents reported that the IOF stormed Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in Jericho amid heavy firing of rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters and clashed with Palestinian citizens.
A Palestinian youth was injured by a bullet to the leg in the confrontations.
IOF home raids and arbitrary arrest campaigns are witnessed on almost a daily basis in Jerusalem and the West Bank and sometimes they are accompanied by teargas attacks and clashes with local citizens.
