IOF kidnaps Gazan passenger at Beit Hanoun crossing

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday kidnaped a Palestinian passenger at the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip as he was trying to get approval for travel to the occupied territories.

The Gazan passenger Husam Abu Yunis went to the crossing to finish processing his travel request but he was detained after Israeli officers questioned him according to local sources.

Instead of being denied travel and sent back to Gaza the IOF kidnaps many Gazan citizens including merchants and patients every year after they submit requests for travel through the Beit Hanoun crossing and later go there to be interviewed in order to receive final approval.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday evening kidnaped a Palestinian passenger at the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip as he was trying to get approval for travel to the 1948 occupied lands.

The Gazan passenger Abdullah Shaker was intending to go to Israel to donate bone marrow to his sick brother at the Tel Hashomer Hospital.

Instead of being denied travel and sent back to Gaza the IOF kidnaps many Gazan citizens including merchants and patients after they submit requests for travel through the Beit Hanoun crossing and later go there to be interviewed in order to receive final approval.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday evening kidnaped a Palestinian passenger from the Gaza Strip at the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing.

The passenger was identified as Ahmed Odeh and he was seeking an Israeli permit to enter the West Bank in order to travel to Jordan through Allenby (al-Karama) crossing.

According to human rights activist Abdul-Naser Farwanah the Palestinian liaison office in Gaza affirmed that Odeh was arrested for no known reason.

As a result the number of Palestinian passengers arrested by the IOF at the Beit Hanoun crossing has risen to 13 people since the beginning of 2019.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday evening kidnaped a Palestinian passenger at the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing in northern Gaza.

Local sources reported that the IOF kidnaped Mous’ed Arqiba a 44-year-old businessman from Rafah in Gaza at the crossing without providing further details.

The IOF had arrested many passengers since the beginning of the current year after they applied for permission to travel through the crossing for medical or commercial purposes.
