IOF kidnaps Gazan passenger at border crossing

Monday 7-November-2022

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped on Sunday evening a Palestinian young man as he tried to travel officially through a border crossing in the north of the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs the IOF kidnaped 32-year-old Mohamed Abu Jamous a resident of Rafah in southern Gaza after he went to the Beit Hanoun (Erez) passenger crossing in order to be interviewed by Israeli officers and have his request for travel approved.

The IOF had kidnaped four Palestinian passengers from Gaza since the beginning of the current year. All the four detainees were released later.

Instead of being denied travel and sent back to Gaza the IOF kidnaps sometimes Gazan citizens including merchants and patients after they submit requests for travel through the Beit Hanoun crossing and later go there to be interviewed in order to receive final approval.
