The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday night kidnaped a Palestinian young man at a military checkpoint in southern Jenin.

According to local sources a young man identified as Bilal Kameel was taken prisoner after the IOF intercepted the car he was aboard at a checkpoint near Misilyah village south of Jenin.

Roadblocks and checkpoints are found across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem and they are used by Israel as tools to enforce its regime of occupation over the Palestinian population.

The Israeli occupation forces (PIC) on Wednesday evening kidnaped a Palestinian young man at a military checkpoint in the south of Nablus.

According to local sources the IOF kidnaped a young man called Mohamed Baddad a resident of Jaba town in Jenin as he was trying to cross the Za’atara military checkpoint in southern Nablus.

Israel uses hundreds of checkpoints and roadblocks in the West Bank to restrict the movement of Palestinians on their own land and to carry out arbitrary arrests.

Journeys of short distances can stretch into hours when Palestinians are detained at checkpoints or forced to circumnavigate roadblocks or closed checkpoints.
