The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped several Palestinian citizens including a senior Hamas official during overnight campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to local sources the IOF kidnaped senior Hamas official Shaker Amara from his home in Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho city.
Clashes reportedly broke out between local youths and Israeli soldiers during the IOF campaign in Aqabat Jabr camp.
Amara had been arrested and jailed several times before and he is one of the Palestinians who were exiled by the Israeli occupation state to Marj al-Zuhur in southern Lebanon in 1992.
In Nablus the IOF kidnaped four young men on a road in the east of the city.
In Jerusalem the IOF kidnaped two brothers identified as Ahmed and Yousef Abul-Hawa from at-Tur town.
Another two brothers identified as Mahmoud and Abd Obeid were physically assaulted and rounded up by Israeli police forces during a campaign in Issawiya district in east Jerusalem.
