One Palestinian citizen was kidnaped and many others suffered from inhaling tear gas on Wednesday evening when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Salem town east of Nablus.
According to local sources the IOF kidnaped an elderly man identified as Akef Shtayyeh from his home in the town.
Ameen Shtayyeh the detainee’s brother said that special Israeli forces aboard civilian cars stormed the town broke into and ransacked several homes and assaulted men women and children from the family of Shtayyeh before kidnaping his brother.
The IOF also clashed with local youths in the town and showered them with tear gas canisters.
Similar clashes broke out in Nabi Saleh village in northern Ramallah after a number of Israeli soldiers stormed the village as the local residents started to break their fast in the evening.
