IOF kidnaps Palestinians from West Bank attacks Turkman’s family

Tuesday 1-November-2016

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday kidnapped Palestinian civilians from the West Bank and aggressively attacked the family of slain Turkman.

Three Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF at the crack of dawn from Nablus’s southern town of Talfit in the northern West Bank.

The IOF stormed the town in over 12 jeeps and a troop-carrier at around 2:30 a.m. and raked through residential neighborhoods.

The occupation troops wreaked havoc on the family home of Mohamed Fawzi Al-Haj Mohamed and kidnapped his son Abdul Rahman 29.

Mahmoud Jabr Al-Haj Mohamed 29 was also kidnapped by the occupation soldiers shortly after they ravaged his family home and smashed the entrance gates.

Nabeel Jabr Al-Haj Mohamed was kidnapped by the IOF from his own family home in the assault.

Reporting from Jenin a PIC news correspondent said the IOF came down heavily on the family of the slain Palestinian security officer Mohamed Abdul Khalek Turkman 25 who was shot dead by the occupation army on Monday evening after he carried out an anti-occupation shooting attack in Ramallah.

The IOF stormed Turkman’s family home and subjected his father and brothers to intensive questioning before they aggressively attacked them. The assault culminated in the abduction of Turkman’s three bothers.

Two brothers were released following exhaustive questioning for over two hours while 21-year-old Muhannad was kept in custody.

An Israeli intelligence officer threatened retaliation and the demolition of Turkman’s family home.

The IOF soldiers further broke into the homes of Turkman’s uncles and cousins and violently attacked them.

Clashes flared up in the area where the IOF attacked the Palestinian anti-occupation protesters with teargas canisters and rubber bullets.

Overnight the IOF sealed off Jenin and its environs with military checkpoints shortly after Turkman was announced dead.
