IOF kidnaps over 20 Palestinians in W. Bank campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Monday kidnapped about 23 Palestinian citizens including two women during campaigns in different West Bank areas.

Among the detainees was Deena al-Sa’eid the wife of martyr Nash’at al-Karami who was killed in 2010 by Israeli soldiers in al-Khalil.

A local source told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) Israeli soldiers broke into and ransacked the house of al-Sa’eid in the central area of al-Khalil city confiscated her laptop and cellphone and rounded her up in front of her nine-year-old daughter Hoor.

The IOF also raided the house of Mutasem al-Natsha the brother of Ma’moun al-Natsha who was killed along with Nasha’at al-Karami in 2010.

Another house belonging to the family of ex-detainee Zaid al-Juneid was also raided during the same IOF campaign in al-Khalil.

Eyewitnesses in al-Khalil reported seeing three children being detained by Israeli soldiers near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of al-Khalil. They were identified as Mohamed Abdul-Ghani Mustafa Qufaisha and Yousef al-Rajbi.

In Qalqilya four Palestinian citizens including a girl were taken prisoners during IOF raids on homes in the city.

Local sources told the PIC that scores of soldiers stormed Qalqilya city at dawn and kidnapped Laila Owainat and her brother Ashraf from their home in the central district as well as other two young people from their homes in different neighborhoods.

An ex-detainee from Qalqilya identified as Baker Attawil was reportedly kidnapped at an IOF checkpoint west of Nablus.

In Jerusalem an Israeli military force kidnapped Islam Ibrahim and Abu Azhaar Ibrahim from Anata town east of the holy city.

10 others Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli police during a campaign in Silwan town on the outskirts of the Old City of Jerusalem according to Quds Press.

A Palestinian young man was also arrested after allegedly attempting to infiltrate into the industrial settlement of Sha’ar Binyamin northeast of Jerusalem according to the Hebrew website 0404.

The detained young man was found in possession of a knife the Israeli army claimed.
