The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Thursday kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens during campaigns in different West Bank areas.
According to local sources the IOF kidnaped two citizens during a dawn campaign in Burqin town west of Jenin. They were identified as Mohamed Sabah and Nader Masad.
Two other young citizens were also injured when the IOF clashed with local youths and fired live ammunition at them in the town.
A resistance fighter from Islamic Jihad was killed and two others were injured during an IOF raid on a house in the same campaign. The victim was identified as Alaa Ziyoud.
In Bethlehem the IOF stormed Aida refugee camp and kidnaped a baker called Mahdi al-Badawneh from his workplace in al-Karitas area.
In Nablus two young men were taken prisoners during raids on their homes in Beita town. They were identified as Kifah al-Jaghoub and Ammar Dawoud.
The IOF also stormed other areas of the West Bank amid clashes with local youths.
In east Jerusalem police officers prevented an Islamic Awqaf employee from entering his workplace at the Aqsa Mosque and detained him after questioning him.
Earlier on Wednesday evening the IOF kidnaped three young passengers as they stopped at the military checkpoint of Huwara in southern Nablus. Two of the detainees were identified as Abdul-Aziz Abul-Rab and Mohamed Abul-Rab.
Another young man identified as Adham al-Shawli a resident of Asira ash-Shamaliya in Nablus was taken prisoner at a makeshift IOF checkpoint near Beita town in southern Nablus.
Shawli had been detained and jailed by the IOF and the Palestinian Authority several times.
