IOF kidnaps several citizens in W. Bank and J’lem

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Tuesday kidnaped several Palestinian citizens during campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

According to local sources the IOF stormed the house of an ex-detainee called Majdi al-Khayat and wreaked havoc on its furniture and contents.

The IOF blasted the main gate of the house before breaking into and ransacking it. No arrests have been reported.

In Jericho the IOF stormed Aqabat Jabr refugee camp and raided several homes in its neighborhoods.

In al-Khalil a citizen was kidnaped by the IOF in Zanuta hamlet east of ad-Dhahiriya town after preventing him from building a well used for collecting rainwater and confiscating drilling equipment.

In Jenin the Shin Bet intelligence apparatus interrogated Omar Kameel the father of the teenager who carried out a shooting operation in Jerusalem on Monday evening at the Salem military base in western Jenin.

Kameel was released after hours of interrogation. The Shin Bet also threatened to demolish his house as a punitive measure.

In Jerusalem Israeli police forces stormed Issawiya district and kidnaped three young men. They were identified as Haitham Mustafa Mohamed Mustafa and Yunis Abul-Hems.

The police forces also clashed with local youths during its arrest campaign in Issawiya.

IOF kidnaps several citizens in W. Bank and J’lem

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday kidnapped several citizens mostly during raids on homes in different areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.

In Nablus local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the IOF soldiers stormed the house of Sheikh Dirar Hamadenah former exile and ex-detainee in Asira ash-Shamaliya town and rounded him up.

Another one from the family of Hamadenah was also taken prisoner during the same IOF campaign in the town. The two detainees were released later.

Two brothers from the family of Asida were kidnapped during an IOF campaign in Tell town west of Nablus and another citizen called Imad Raihan was detained for a while in the same town before he was let go.

A young man from Kafr Qallil town was also kidnapped at the southern entrance to Nablus.

On Monday six citizens affiliated with Hamas were kidnapped by the IOF in Nablus.

The IOF also stormed Sebastia town last night and clashed with local young men before withdrawing without making arrests.

In Jerusalem local sources said that Israeli border police troops kidnapped at dawn two Palestinian young men from their homes in Shuafat refugee camp.

Meanwhile an Israeli military force raided homes and stores in Silwad town east of Ramallah city which provoked clashes with local young men. No arrests have been reported.

In al-Khalil the IOF stormed also at dawn different areas and kidnapped several citizens from their homes.

The IOF reportedly kidnapped one citizen in Deir Sammit town west of al-Khalil and three others in Beit Ummar town to the north.

Israeli troops also ransacked at dawn Tuesday stores in Idhna town west of al-Khalil and kidnapped a citizen called Kamel Jamjoum from al-Khalil city.

Later in the morning soldiers physically assaulted a Palestinian child and arrested another in the southern area of al-Khalil.

Eyewitnesses said that a child student was severely beaten by Israeli soldiers as he was going to al-Khalil primary school and was rushed to a local hospital after he suffered bruises. He was identified as Ismail al-Rajbi.
