The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday evening kidnapped three Palestinian citizens at the Container checkpoint northeast of Bethlehem in the West Bank.
Eyewitnesses said that soldiers at the checkpoint rounded up three citizens including a Birzeit University student they identified as Omar al-Rajoub.
They added that the Israeli army had closed the checkpoint and embarked on searching vehicles interrogating passengers and checking their IDs.
The Container checkpoint was established during the second intifada (uprising) on land annexed from as-Sawahira ash-Sharqiya town in Wad Nar area.
The Israeli army uses it to control the flow of traffic between the southern and northern West Bank.
When closed the northern and southern districts of the occupied West Bank become isolated.
