A Palestinian citizen was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday evening in the south of Nablus city.
The Hebrew media said that the slain Palestinian opened fire at Israeli soldiers near Madama village in southern Nablus and injured two of them.
The health ministry in Ramallah identified the victim as 36-year-old Mohammad Najjar.
The IOF claimed that Najjar drove his vehicle to a military roadblock and opened fire towards soldiers injuring two before he was gunned down.
Later the IOF stormed Najjar’s home in Nablus city and interrogated his family members.
Clashes with local youths reportedly happened during the IOF campaign in Nablus city.
