IOF launches arrest campaign in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at dawn Monday several Palestinians during incursions in the West Bank.

In al-Khalil IOF arrested the engineer Ismail Al-Awawda and Abdel Halim Al-Owawi after storming Dura city.

Engineer Ismail Al-Awawda is one of the well-known figures in al-Khalil as he was the former deputy head of the Engineers Syndicate and he spent several years in the occupation prisons.

In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police arrested the ex-prisoner Ashraf Shamasneh after raiding his home in Qatanah town.

In Jenin in the northern West Bank the IOF soldiers broke into Jaba town south of the city amid clashes with the Palestinian youths.

IOF also arrested Kamel Al-Ja’bari after breaking into his house in Al-Yamoun town Jenin district.

In Nablus IOF arrested the two brothers Luay and Wael Hamayel residents of Beita town after they tried to enter their workplace in the 1948 occupied territories near Habla village south of Qalqilya.

Amr Jaber was also arrested at the entrance to the city.

The IOF soldiers also raided Tulkarem city and arrested Muhammad Abu Shanab 25 after they stormed his home in the eastern neighborhood of the city.

In Ramallah IOF arrested the two brothers Abdul Rahman and Watan Abdul Basit Abu Aliya from al-Mughayir town north of the city.

The IOF soldiers launch daily search and arrest campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem during which they raid homes destroy property arrest and terrorize residents.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched an arrest campaign in various West Bank areas at night Sunday and Monday morning that included released prisoners one of whom was married days ago.

IOF arrested the liberated prisoner Muhammad Mustafa Shreiteh 34 and Yahya Hassan Laddua 29 after breaking into their houses and searching them in the western village of Al Mazraa northwest of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that the arrest of the editor Muhammad Shreitah came days after his wedding.

IOF soldiers also arrested Nassar Abu Dahouk in Jericho after breaking into his house and searching it.

In al-Khalil IOF soldiers broke into the home of Hamza Abu Aisha 35 searched it and tampered with its contents before taking him away and arrested the young Muhammad Rajoub from Dura town.

IOF raided several neighborhoods in al-Khalil and Al-Aroub refugee camp and fired stun grenades at the camp entrance.

IOF troops also set up military checkpoints at the entrances of Sa`ir and Halhul towns and at the northern entrance of al-Khalil city. Citizens’ vehicles were stopped searched and citizens’ ID cards checked which caused traffic jams.

BETHLEHEM (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rounded up eight Palestinians in various West Bank areas on Monday mostly boys and teenagers.

Palestinian sources said that IOF soldiers nabbed four Palestinian teens in Taku village Bethlehem province after storming and ransacking their family homes.

Dozens of Jewish settlers escorted by IOF soldiers gathered in front of the western entrance of Taku in protest at throwing firebombs at their vehicles.

Meanwhile several IOF patrols roamed the streets of Al-Khalil with no arrests reported. Palestinian security sources said that a senior Israeli intelligence officer accompanied those patrols apparently in preparation for assuming new missions.

Eyewitnesses said that IOF soldiers arrested two youngsters and a teen in Nablus city after searching many homes.

IOF soldiers finally apprehended a 42-year-old citizen in Yabad village south of Jenin at dawn Monday after breaking into and searching his home and two other homes of his relatives who were subjected to field interrogation.

Local sources said that the soldiers wreaked havoc in the searched houses and harassed citizens on their way to offer dawn prayers in mosques.
