Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched on Sunday night and at dawn Monday a campaign of arrests in various areas of the West Bank that focused on Jaloud village south of Nablus.
The IOF soldiers raided several villages in search of the perpetrators of the commando shooting operation near the Za’tara checkpoint.
Local sources reported that IOF stormed Jaloud and arrested about 11 Palestinians coinciding with an attack by Jewish settlers who set fire in the fields of the village.
IOF broke into the towns of Beita Osrin Aqrab and Qusra and arrested one of the wounded men in Beita from inside an ambulance at Hawara checkpoint.
All checkpoints and entrances around Nablus were closed and hundreds of vehicles were blocked from traveling for long hours.
On Sunday night settlers opened fire at the car of the citizen Ziyad Awad at the Za’tara checkpoint while he was driving with his family. Luckily there were no injuries.
The IOF soldiers confiscated the CCTV recordings of a house near the main road linking the Za’tara checkpoint and the Palestinian Jordan Valley in Osrin town southeast of Nablus.
Furthermore IOF stormed the headquarters of a Palestinian company west of Aqraba while dozens of them were deployed in the vicinity of the town and closed the entrances to the neighboring town of Majdal Bani Fadel.
The released prisoner Eng. Abdul Hafiz Shehadeh was arrested at a military checkpoint south of Nablus.
In Qalqilya a settler was wounded during clashes at the entrance to Azzun town while dozens of settlers attacked the town of Amatin in the district.
In Bethlehem IOF arrested Muhannad Nawoura 25 and Ibrahim al-Wardian 22 after raiding their families’ homes searching them and tampering with their contents.
In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police raided Hizma town and arrested the youths Abdullah Al-Khatib Muhammad Mubarak Ayman Oqab and Nadim Al-Khatib.
The young Jerusalemite Muhammad Amin surrendered himself on Monday morning after the occupation police repeatedly stormed his house in Jerusalem seeking his arrest.
