IOF launches large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

Israel occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem on Sunday night and at dawn Monday.

In Qalqilya IOF arrested ex-prisoner Abdel Naser al-Rabi after storming and searching his house. He spent more than 7 years in total at Israeli jail.

In Tulkarem IOF arrested Baraa’ Mazeed Yusuf Hannun and Tamer Nassar after storming and searching their houses.

In Ramallah IOF raided Beit Rima village and arrested Khair al-Rimawi after storming and searching his house. The IOF also raided Ein Yabroud village and detained Muhammed al-Ammori for hours. The IOF also raided Turmus Aya and Beitunia villages.

In Bethlehem IOF arrested Sami al-Herimi 18 and summoned his brother for investigation after raiding their house.

In Occupied Jerusalem Israeli police arrested Muath Abu al-Hawa and detained others for field investigation.

IOF launches large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched on Sunday night and at dawn Monday a campaign of arrests in various areas of the West Bank that focused on Jaloud village south of Nablus.

The IOF soldiers raided several villages in search of the perpetrators of the commando shooting operation near the Za’tara checkpoint.

Local sources reported that IOF stormed Jaloud and arrested about 11 Palestinians coinciding with an attack by Jewish settlers who set fire in the fields of the village.

IOF broke into the towns of Beita Osrin Aqrab and Qusra and arrested one of the wounded men in Beita from inside an ambulance at Hawara checkpoint.

All checkpoints and entrances around Nablus were closed and hundreds of vehicles were blocked from traveling for long hours.

On Sunday night settlers opened fire at the car of the citizen Ziyad Awad at the Za’tara checkpoint while he was driving with his family. Luckily there were no injuries.

The IOF soldiers confiscated the CCTV recordings of a house near the main road linking the Za’tara checkpoint and the Palestinian Jordan Valley in Osrin town southeast of Nablus.

Furthermore IOF stormed the headquarters of a Palestinian company west of Aqraba while dozens of them were deployed in the vicinity of the town and closed the entrances to the neighboring town of Majdal Bani Fadel.

The released prisoner Eng. Abdul Hafiz Shehadeh was arrested at a military checkpoint south of Nablus.

In Qalqilya a settler was wounded during clashes at the entrance to Azzun town while dozens of settlers attacked the town of Amatin in the district.

In Bethlehem IOF arrested Muhannad Nawoura 25 and Ibrahim al-Wardian 22 after raiding their families’ homes searching them and tampering with their contents.

In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police raided Hizma town and arrested the youths Abdullah Al-Khatib Muhammad Mubarak Ayman Oqab and Nadim Al-Khatib.

The young Jerusalemite Muhammad Amin surrendered himself on Monday morning after the occupation police repeatedly stormed his house in Jerusalem seeking his arrest.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday arrested a number of Palestinians during West Bank sweeps.

Local sources said that the IOF arrested the wife of the Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails Tareq Barghout during a raid on their home in Ramallah.

Meanwhile in Bethlehem the IOF kidnapped Uday Abu Nassar and Ahmad al-Saifi and handed Ahmad Abu Mefreh and Majd al-Shaer orders to appear before the Israeli Intelligence Service for interrogation.

Two Palestinian youths identified as Khalil Hawil and Mohammed Zeidat were arrested in Jenin and al-Khalil and a third named Ehab al-Qawasmeh was handed an interrogation summons.

According to local residents the IOF raided several homes in Nablus searched them and seized about 4000 NIS.

The IOF at daybreak stormed Qalqilya raided the family house of a Palestinian martyr and wreaked havoc on it.

IOF launches large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

Scores of Palestinian citizens were arrested at dawn Tuesday during arrest and raid campaigns launched by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the West Bank.

Israeli occupation army said in a statement that 11 Palestinians were arrested on Tuesday for being involved in popular resistance activities against Israeli targets.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF stormed Azzun town east of Qalqilya searched a large number of houses and wreaked havoc on them and arrested four Palestinian youths.

The IOF also raided Arraba town in Jenin and arrested a Palestinian youth after searching his family house.

The PIC reporter said quoting local residents that the IOF raided and searched the house of the Islamic Jihad leader Tareq Qa’dan.

Meanwhile in Nablus a number of Palestinian citizens were injured during an IOF raid into Osarin town.

Eyewitnesses said that clashes erupted when several IOF patrols stormed the town late at night. Israeli soldiers heavily fired rubber-coated metal bullets and teargas canisters while Palestinian youths responded by throwing stones.

Medical sources reported that two Palestinians suffered rubber-coated metal bullet wounds and dozens others chocked on teargas including a seven-month-old baby.

They added that the IOF attacked ambulances with sound bombs and prevented them from entering the town to help those injured.

At the same time two Palestinian ex-prisoners were kidnapped by dozens of IOF soldiers who broke into their houses at daybreak in Surif town north of al-Khalil.
