IOF launches raids arrests campaign in West Bank and Jerusalem

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched on Monday night and at dawn Tuesday a campaign of raids and arrests in several areas in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Several Palestinians were arrested and clashes broke out in separate areas.

In Jenin IOF stormed Ya’abad town southwest of Jenin and clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers.

Local sources reported that the clashes erupted after IOF stormed the town searched several houses in Al-Baajawa neighborhood and interrogated their residents.

In Nablus the IOF soldiers stormed several areas in the city especially in Kashika Fatayer and Talaat Al-Tur streets and they raided an empty house in Al-Adham building.

Eyewitnesses reported that confrontations broke out between the youths and IOF during the raid on Nablus during which the IOF soldiers fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters. IOF also raided Rojeeb town east of Nablus.

In Salfit IOF arrested Muhammad Mari after storming and searching his house and tampering with its contents in Qarawat Bani Hassan village.

In Ramallah IOF arrested Abdullah Metwally from Al-Bireh city after raiding his house and beating him. Five other Palestinians were also arrested from Al-Bireh two Palestinians from Al-Irsal neighborhood and a Palestinian from Al-Tira neighborhood.

IOF raided Deir Abu Mishaal village north of Ramallah and arrested four citizens.

In Bethlehem IOF stormed the city and arrested Bayan Hasasneh after raiding and searching his family’s house.

In al-Khalil IOF raided Idna town west of al-Khalil and searched several citizens’ homes. IOF also broke into Dhahriya town to the south and several neighborhoods.

In Jerusalem the Israeli occupation police arrested Iyad Al-Hadrah after they raided and searched his house in Al-Tur. Jihad Aweidah was arrested after a large force of Israeli police stormed his home in Al-Thawri area.

The Israeli police also arrested Muhammad Abu Khalil Wael Mahmoud and Baraa Mahmoud after they raided and searched their houses in Occupied Jerusalem.
