IOF quells Friday rallies in various areas of West Bank

Dozens of Palestinians suffered breathing problems during the suppression of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) of several marches in the West Bank on Friday.

In Kafr Qaddum IOF attacked the participants in the weekly march with tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets. Several citizens suffered breathing difficulty including children and were treated in the field.

In Beita south of Nablus residents participated in a rally on the Sabih mountain to reject the settlers’ attempts to seize it.

IOF fired tear gas canisters at the participants and many of them suffered breathing problems.

In Beit Dajan east of Nablus the citizens participated in a rally protesting against the establishment of a settlement outpost on the lands of the village.

IOF suppressed the march by firing tear gas canisters and a number of Palestinians suffered breathing problems.

The gas bombs fired by IOF resulted in setting fire to olive fields and agricultural lands east of the village.

In Ein al-Bayda village southeast of Yatta the IOF soldiers attacked with sound bombs and tear gas canisters the Muslim worshipers and suppressed a rally which calls for supporting the people of the area threatened to be seized.

On Friday night local sources reported that clashes erupted in Qalqilya city between IOF and Palestinian youths following a march denouncing the Israeli occupation practices against the Muslim worshipers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Muhammad Hamed 27 was hit with rubber bullets in his head and was taken to Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital for treatment. His injury was described as moderate. Others suffered breathing difficulty and were treated in the field according to the sources.

In Jericho IOF arrested Abdullah Al-Hanawi and Mahmoud Musleh while they were at the entrance to Aqbat Jaber refugee camp. Eyewitness said that IOF quelled a march and confrontations erupted near the southern entrance to Jericho.

Local sources said that the IOF soldiers arrested dozens of Muslim worshipers from different West Bank provinces while they were returning from the Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Qalandia military checkpoint.
