Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday quelled the Kafr Qaddoum anti-settlement weekly march which demands opening the village’s road that has been closed for more than 14 years for the benefit of the illegal Kedumim settlement.
Popular resistance coordinator in Kafr Qaddoum Murad Shtewi said that the IOF broke into the village immediately after the march started and fired rubber-coated metal bullets at the protesters with no injuries or arrests reported.
The IOF soldiers later erected a military checkpoint at the village’s entrance and declared it a closed military zone. They prevented solidarity activists from entering the village and hindered the Palestinian citizens’ movement by searching their vehicles and scrutinizing their IDs.
