Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday quelled the weekly anti-settlement march of Kafr Qaddum which demands opening the village’s road that has been closed for more than 14 years in favor of the settlers of the nearby Kedumim settlement.
Popular resistance coordinator in Kafr Qaddum Murad Shtewi said that IOF soldiers attacked the protesters with sound bombs and tear gas canisters resulting in clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers. No injuries or arrests were reported.
Shtewi added that the protesters took to the streets despite heavy rain and windy weather which indicates the determination of the Palestinian people on resisting the Israeli occupation.
