The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) quelled a peaceful march organized after Friday prayers in Aida refugee camp north of Bethlehem demanding the release of slain Palestinians’ bodies from Israeli morgues.
According to the PIC field reporter the march kicked off from Abu Baker al-Siddiq mosque in the refugee camp.
During the event protesters held photos of Palestinians earlier killed by IOF and their bodies remained in Israeli morgues calling for their immediate and unconditional release.
The demonstrators also condemned the burial of four Palestinians’ bodies in what is referred to as cemeteries of numbers which are mass graves in undisclosed areas marked by numbers rather than names.
Once the protesters approached the entrance of the camp IOF soldiers heavily fired teargas bombs and rubber bullets at them injuring many of the participants including journalists.
Families of the four dead youths stressed their strong determination to continue protests on weekly basis till the release of their sons’ bodies.
