IOF quells anti-settlement march in Kafr Qaddoum

Saturday 11-June-2022

Clashes were reported on Saturday afternoon between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Kafr Qaddoum village in Qalqilia following the start of the weekly anti-settlement march.

IOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas bombs at Palestinian protestors to quell the anti-settlement march in the Kafr Qaddoum village in the West Bank governorate of Qalqilya

Since the beginning of July 2011 Kafr Qaddoum has witnessed every Friday and Saturday marches demanding the opening of the village’s main entrance which was closed by the IOF during the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2003.

The importance of the entrance of the village lies in the fact that it is a corridor linking Kafr Qaddoum to its surrounding Palestinian villages and towns the closure of which caused great suffering to the citizens.

In a related incident the IOF soldiers chased and fired live bullets at Palestinian workers near the separation wall west of the West Bank city of Qalqilya.
