Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday suppressed a massive peaceful march that headed to the new settlement outpost site in Beita town to the south of Nablus city in protest at settlement expansion.
The march kicked off from Beita municipality with the participation of scores of Palestinians and representatives of the factions and many other organizations.
IOF soldiers however showered the participants with tear gas canisters resulting in suffocation among Palestinians.
Mayor of Beita town Fawaz Maali said that the event aimed at planting olive trees in the Palestinian lands over which the settlement outpost is going to be established as an expression of the refusal of settlement.
