IOF quells marches against annexation plan in W. Bank

Saturday 6-June-2020

Many Palestinian young men suffered from injuries when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday violently attacked marches staged in protest at the Israeli annexation plan in different West Bank areas.

The marches coincided with the 53rd anniversary of the Naksa Day — the annual occasion in which the Palestinian people commemorate their exposure to the second wave of expulsions from their homes and areas during and after the 1967 war which the Arabs lost against the West-backed Israeli occupation army.

Hundreds of Palestinian citizens participated in these marches which were organized following the Friday prayers in the West Bank towns of Bil’in Ni’lin Kafr Qaddum Hares Qusin as well as in Nablus city the northeast of the Jordan Valley and al-Khalil city and near a military checkpoint in Jibara village in Tulkarem.

The participants carried Palestinian flags and chanted slogans denouncing the Israeli occupation its plan to annex large parts of the West Bank and its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people and their land.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent several Palestinians suffered from their exposure to tear gas and bullet injuries including one who was wounded in his head by a rubber bullet in the northern Jordan Valley.
