Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled on Friday Palestinian peaceful marches condemning the settlement activity in various areas of the West Bank.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said in a press statement that its crews dealt with 46 injuries including one with live bullets six injuries with rubber bullets and 39 people who suffered breathing difficulty.
IOF attacked the worshipers who had performed the Friday prayer on the lands threatened by the seizure in Al-Marhat and Al-Ras areas west of Salfit.
A Palestinian was hit by a tear gas canister in his head and was taken to the hospital while dozens of people suffered breathing problems.
The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) announced its intention to confiscate more than 50 dunums in this area in western Salfit to establish a new settlement outpost.
The IOF soldiers suppressed the weekly Kafr Qaddum march. They climbed up the roofs of citizens’ homes and attacked the participants with rubber bullets.
Clashes erupted and 8 Palestinian youths were injured by metal bullets one of them in his face and others suffered breathing difficulty. One Palestinian was arrested.
Ratib al-Jabour the coordinator of the Popular and National Committees to Resist the Wall and Settlements stated that the residents of Tha`la area responded to the attacks of Carmiel settlers under IOF protection.
The settlers tried to reside in the caves of Mahmoud Shanran’s family claiming that it is a “state land leased” by the occupation state to them.
Jabour added that the Shanran family confronted this attack and refused to obey the threats of settlers and the IOF.
Meanwhile dozens of citizens performed Friday prayer in the Al-Rukayz area of Masafer Yatta and participated in a march of solidarity with the people of the Masafer.
This march was launched to reject the IOF demolition of five tents two days ago including a tent set up by Palestinian and foreign activists in solidarity with Haroun Abu Aram who was confined to a wheelchair after being shot by IOF in that area at the beginning of this year 2021.
In Salfit citizens responded to the settlers’ attack after performing Friday prayer in Khillet Hassan west of Bidya west of Salfit.
Confrontations broke out between Palestinian citizens on one hand and settlers and IOF soldiers on the other. Settlers detained a young Palestinian while he was documenting settler violations.
In Beit Dajan village east of Nablus IOF suppressed an anti-settlement march which started in front of the Great Mosque in the center of the village to the eastern region threatened with seizure.
Two Palestinians were wounded one with live bullets and the other with rubber-coated metal bullets in his foot while dozens suffered breathing problems.
In Deir Jarir village east of Ramallah IOF quelled a march condemning the establishment of a new settlement outpost in the Al-Shorfa mountain area. Several citizens suffered breathing problems.
Dozens of settlers stormed Khan al-Laban in al-Laban al-Sharqiya village south of Nablus under IOF protection. Palestinians confronted the settlers and a number of them suffered breathing difficulty.
Local sources reported that an event to cultivate lands threatened with confiscation in Burin town south of Nablus was launched with the participation of the town’s residents. Palestinian and foreign activists also participated to support the people.
IOF soldiers were deployed in the area blocked residents from accessing their lands and beat a number of them.
The IOF soldiers also attacked the press crews prevented them from covering the events in the area and broke several olive seedlings.
In Tulkarem settlers of the Avni Hefetz settlement which is located on the lands of Shofa village attacked several Palestinian farmers while they were working on their lands west of the settlement.
