The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday morning violently attacked a protest staged near al-Quds University in Abu Dis town east of Jerusalem against the US president’s announcement of his deal of the century which aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
The IOF fired live rounds into the air and showered the protesters with a volley of tear gas canisters to disperse them.
The intensity of the tear gas attacks forced some schools in the area of the events to dismiss their students and employees and send them home.
The IOF also assaulted and detained a young man at the Qalandiya checkpoint and summoned another one for interrogation in the Old City of Jerusalem.
