IOF raids Hizma town in Occupied Jerusalem

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday evening stormed Hizma town to the northeast of Occupied Jerusalem.

A local source said that the IOF closed the main entrance to the town with cement blocks and banned the Palestinian citizens from entering or leaving the town.

Clashes erupted during the raid between Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers in which the latter heavily fired live bullets rubber-coated metal bullets sound bombs and tear gas canisters at the youths. No injuries were reported.

According to eyewitnesses the Israeli soldiers forced shopkeepers to close their shops and turned the town into a closed military zone after some Palestinian youths had attacked a settler bus with stones.

An Israeli settler was injured on Thursday after the bus he was driving was attacked with stones in Hizma town.

Eyewitnesses reported that Palestinian youths from Hizma threw stones at several settler buses wounding a driver who was later taken by an Israeli ambulance for treatment.
