IOF raids homes kidnaps citizens in overnight W. Bank campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Sunday raided homes and kidnapped Palestinian citizens during campaigns in different areas of the West Bank.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that five young men were taken prisoners during raids on homes in different areas of Nablus province.

Among the detainees was 24-year-old Mu’men Sabah representative of the Islamic Bloc at an-Najah University.

He was kidnapped from his home in Asira ash-Shamaliya town north of Nablus after a one-month pursuit.

Four others were kidnapped from their homes in Nablus city Tell town to the west and Ein Beit al-Ma refugee camp in the city according to local sources and a statement released by the Israeli army.

According to eyewitnesses Israeli troops aboard dozens of patrol vehicles stormed different neighborhoods of Nablus city and its old district amid clashes with local young men.

A resounding explosion reportedly rocked Ein Beit al-Ma camp as Israeli military vehicles arrived at the area without knowing its source.

Moreover the IOF stormed Jenin refugee camp at dawn and kidnapped three young men one of them already wounded.

Local sources told the PIC that Israeli soldiers raided homes in the camp which triggered clashes with local young men.

They added that 21-year-old Wi’am Hanoun suffered a serious bullet injury in his knee during the clashes and was transferred to hospital.

They said that the soldiers broke into homes in the camp and kidnapped three young men including Munir Salamah who still suffers from a recent bullet injury.

Last night the IOF kidnapped two young men from Azzun refugee camp in Qalqilya at a makeshift checkpoint.

Locals told the PIC that soldiers set up a roadblock at the northern entrance to Azzun town and rounded up Muaad Shabaita 22 and Asem Abu Haneyya 38.
