IOF raids homes kidnaps citizens overnight in W. Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Thursday raided several Palestinian homes kidnapped citizens and clashed with local young men during campaigns in different West Bank areas.

In Nablus local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that a large number of Israeli troops stormed the city spread through some streets and engaged in confrontations with angry young men.

According to the sources two young men were kidnapped from their homes during the IOF campaign in Nablus.

Two other teenagers were also kidnapped during an IOF campaign in Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil city.

In Qalqilya clashes reportedly broke out in Azzun town between local youths and Israeli soldiers after the latter kidnapped two young men from their homes.

Eyewitnesses told the PIC that young men from Azzun attacked the soldiers with Molotov cocktails and hurled stones at them during their presence in the town.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Thursday kidnapped several Palestinian citizens including a senior Hamas official during raids on homes in different West Bank areas.

Local sources in Jenin city told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli soldiers stormed the Jenin refugee camp kidnapped a citizen from his home and set up a military checkpoint on a road near Qabatiya town south of the city.

In Tubas several young men suffered from inhaling tear gas during dawn clashes with soldiers.

The PIC was told that an Israeli military force stationed near the city hall and on the main street in Tubas engaged in clashes with local young men and chased them in alleys.

Several young men and citizens suffered inside their homes from the effects of tear gas that was intensively used by soldiers during the events.

A senior Hamas official Abdul-Baset al-Hajj was also kidnapped from his home in Jalqamus town east of Jenin.

Hajj was detained several times before and spent a total of 15 years in Israeli jails.

In Tulkarem refugee camp violent clashes broke out with Israeli soldiers who raided homes and kidnapped a young man.

The soldiers indiscriminately fired tear gas during the skirmishes with the young men locals said adding that many citizens suffered from inhaling fumes while inside their homes in Marbaat Hanoun area of the camp.

In Ramallah two ex-detainees were kidnapped from their homes during an IOF campaign in Beit Liqya town. They were identified as Adib Mafarjah and Fu’aad Asi.

Another citizen was also taken prisoner during the same campaign in the town.

In northern Salfit the IOF stormed Kifl Hares town and kidnapped three citizens from their homes including a 16-year-old teenager called Anas Shaqour.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided homes and kidnapped citizens last night and at dawn Tuesday in different Palestinian areas of the West Bank.

In Nablus an Israeli military force stormed the new Askar refugee camp to the east and kidnapped five young men after ransacking their homes.

The detainees were identified as Mahmoud al-Jabji Mohamed al-Samri Jamil al-Aqra Izz al-Aqra and Ahmed Abed.

Israeli troops also stormed Qaryut town south of Nablus and embarked on randomly firing stun grenades to cause panic among the residents. No arrests were reported.

Another military force raided homes in Huwara town south of Nablus and kidnapped two young men.

In a separate incident Israeli soldiers physically assaulted last night a young man from Jenin city as he arrived aboard his vehicle at a makeshift checkpoint north of the city.

Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that soldiers set up a checkpoint on al-Zababdeh road south of Jenin where they intercepted the car of 20-year-old Ibrahim al-Saadi ripped its seats during their search for something and severely beat him.

They affirmed that the soldiers did not arrest Saadi and let him go after they wreaked havoc inside his car.

Moreover the IOF stormed neighborhoods in Qalqilya city and fired volleys of tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinian homes with no reason.

According to a press release by the Israeli army its overnight campaigns in the West Bank led to the arrest of 15 Palestinians.
