The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday stormed the homes of two Palestinian lawmakers and one ex-detainee in al-Khalil and warned them against participating in any activity related to the coming Palestinian elections.
According to local sources the IOF raided the homes of MP Nayef al-Rajoub (Hamas) and ex-detainee Rizk al-Rajoub in Dura town south of al-Khalil and threatened them with imprisonment if they ran in the elections or participated in any relevant activity.
MP Sameer al-Qadhi (Hamas) also received a similar threat from the IOF after they ransacked his house in Surif town north of al-Khalil.
Recently the IOF detained and interrogated a number of Hamas officials and lawmakers and warned them against playing any role in the inter-Palestinian reconciliation efforts between their Movement and Fatah or participating in the coming elections.
