Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday raided a ceremony organized for welcoming a Palestinian freed prisoner in downtown al-Khalil.
Security sources said according to Wafa news agency that the IOF broke into the house of the released prisoner Isa al-Qawasmi who served 14 years in Israeli jails in al-Sheikh neighborhood and fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs at the Palestinian citizens gathering there.
Limited clashes were reported in the nearby Bab al-Zawiya during which the IOF soldiers fired tear gas canisters at Palestinian citizens and their shops
