The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday demolished a number of Palestinian-owned commercial facilities in Anata town in the northeast of Jerusalem.
Anata mayor Taha al-Rifa’iee said that bulldozers escorted by many troops stormed the main street on the eastern side of the town and demolished two commercial facilities.
The IOF also bulldozed another commercial structure used as a vegetable market and a big facility with its walls used for the sale of salvage cars and their parts.
During the demolitions the IOF blocked the junction of Anata town which led to a heavy build-up of traffic in both directions of the road.
Recently the IOF also demolished a car wash in the same area of the town.
