Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday released 6 Palestinian fishermen who were arrested Tuesday in the Rafah Sea in the southern Gaza Strip.
The fishermen’s committees said that the IOF released 6 of the 8 fishermen arrested from the Rafah Sea late on Tuesday evening.
The IOF arrested 8 fishermen while working in the Rafah Sea 3 miles off shore and seized their boats.
Meanwhile Israeli gunboats fired machine guns at fishermen’s boats west of the Sudaniya to the northwest of Gaza City on Wednesday morning.
Palestinian fishermen are daily subjected to Israeli gunfire arrests and robbery of their boats as well as other violations.
Four thousand Palestinian fishermen are working in Gaza Sea using 1300 fishing boats according to the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture.
