The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Wednesday removed road signs placed in the archaeological site in Sabastiya town northwest of Nablus to the north of West Bank.
Mayor of Sabastiya Mohammad Azem said IOF soldiers stormed the town amid heavy firing of live rounds before removing the road signs written in both Arabic and English which were placed to help visitors and tourists reach the archaeological sites in the town.
The mayor noted that IOF soldiers have previously threatened the municipality to remove the road signs if the Hebrew translation was not added.
