The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rounded up nine Palestinians in Jericho and its vicinity in a “special mission” conducted on Monday night.
The Hebrew TV7 reported that the Palestinians were members of an armed cell that had in its possession “stolen military equipment” adding that the IOF also confiscated 16 vehicles in the same operation.
An IOF spokesperson said that firebombs were thrown at the IOF during the operation but no casualties were sustained.
Palestinian sources had reported at dawn Monday that the IOF launched a large-scale arrest campaign in the West Bank and Jerusalem and that at least 25 Palestinians were detained including at least seven from Jericho.
