The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) early on Tuesday set up a military checkpoint on the northern access road to the West Bank province of al-Khalil blocking Palestinians’ access out of and into the area.
Reporting from the scene a PIC news correspondent said Israeli occupation soldiers pitched a military checkpoint on the Halhul Bridge thoroughfare where Palestinian vehicles and passengers have been subjected to intensive inspection.
Palestinian drivers and civilians have reportedly lined up in the area after the Israeli military forces denied them access into their homes and workplaces.
Observers said the move carried out in such a remarkably arbitrary manner makes part of Israeli daily crackdowns aiming to mar life and spark terror in the area.
