IOF seizes mobile home threatens to raze house shed in Bethlehem

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday morning confiscated a mobile home and delivered demolition notices against an unfinished house and a cattle shed in different areas of Bethlehem.

Local official Hasan Berejiya said that the IOF stormed Khallet an-Nahla area near the Palestinian village of Wadi Rahal and the illegal settlement of Efrat and confiscated a prefabricated house belonging to a local resident.

Berejiya added that Khallet an-Nahla area is targeted by the Israeli occupation authority with the aim of building or expanding Jewish settlements. Recently the Israeli army uprooted dozens of fruitful olive trees bulldozed vast tracts of Palestinian-owned land and demolished several retaining walls in the area.

During previous incidents settlers living in nearby illegal settlements also wreaked havoc on many swaths of land planted with different crops and launched attacks on local residents and homes.

Meanwhile the Israeli occupation army on the same day notified citizens in Battir town west of Bethlehem of its intent to demolish a house under construction and a cattle shed.

One of the owners Mohamed ash-Shawli said that Israeli forces stormed ash-Sharfa area of Battir town and handed him a demolition notice against an unfinished one-story house belonging to him and another notice against a cattle shed belonging to his cousin Mohamed Ayesh.
