The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday seized and bulldozed Palestinian-owned swaths of land in Khirbet Mak’houl near Tubas city and threatened to remove a pole carrying a Palestinian flag in Sebastia town north of Nablus.
According to local sources the IOF carried out large-scale bulldozing activities on lands belonging to Palestinian citizens from Tubas in an area of Khirbet Mak’houl near the illegal settlement of Hemdat.
Local residents said that the Israeli occupation authority intends to build poultry farms in the area for Hemdat settlers.
There are multiple illegal Jewish settlements and a military base near Khirbet Mak’houl hamlet.
Meanwhile the IOF threatened to remove a pole carrying a Palestinian flag from a plaza in the archeological area of Sebastia town.
Sebastia mayor Mohamed Azem said that an IOF officer phoned him and threatened to remove the flagpole at the pretext that it provokes the Jewish settlers.
In a separate incident a horde of Jewish settlers stole dozens of plants from a plant nursery in as-Sawiya village south of Nablus.
Local official Ghassan Daghlas said that a group of settlers raided and wreaked havoc on a plant nursery belonging to Mohamed al-Khatib near the road between Nablus and Ramallah.
He added that the settlers went on the rampage through the nursery and stole dozens of plants pointing out that the same nursery had been raided several times before by settlers.
