The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday set up a makeshift checkpoint at the main entrance to Deir Ballut village west of Salfit in the West Bank and restricted the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles.
Eyewitnesses reported that soldiers intercepted cars at the checkpoint and embarked on checking the IDs of young men without making arrests.
They added that the road checkpoint obstructed the movement of vehicles and forced many drivers to use alternative routes.
Every day the IOF deliberately set up checkpoints on main roads leading to towns and villages in the West Bank restricting the movement of Palestinian citizens.
