The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday night set up two makeshift checkpoints on roads leading to Kharsa town south of al-Khalil in the West Bank and restricted the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli soldiers erected road barriers at the junction leading to the villages of Kharsa ad-Dhahiriya and Dura and al-Fawwar refugee camp and set up another checkpoint at the eastern entrance to Kharsa.
They added that the soldiers intercepted passing cars at the roadblocks searched passengers and checked their IDs.
25-year-old Saadi Amr was detained for about two hours by soldiers at one of those checkpoints and then released.
