The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday evening erected a temporary checkpoint at the main entrance to Deir Ballut town west of Salfi in the West Bank.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that the IOF soldiers stopped the Palestinian vehicles passing in the area harassed the passengers and scrutinized their IDs.
They said that the checkpoint obstructed the Palestinian citizens’ movement which forced some drivers to look for alternative roads.
The IOF soldiers every now and then set up temporary checkpoints in the West Bank towns and villages under flimsy security pretexts.
