IOF soldiers arrest more Palestinians in the West Bank

Thursday 12-July-2007

AL-KHALIL (PIC)– IOF soldiers raided a number of West Bank cities and villages at an early hour Thursday and rounded up a number of Palestinians in line with their daily raids into the West Bank districts.

PA security sources in Al-Khalil said that IOF troops kidnapped five Palestinians at the pretext they were resistance activists in Edhna town west of Al-Khalil and in Al-Fawar refugee camp and the city itself.

IOF soldiers also stormed a number of homes in Yatta and Dhaheria south of the city and a number of the city’s suburbs but failed to round up “wanted” citizens because they were not at their homes.

In Nablus district two more Palestinian young men were abducted at the hands of those troops according to local sources who said that 30 IOF armored vehicles escorted two military bulldozers in their advance into the city.

The two kidnapped civilians were from Balata refugee camp and Beita village east of Nablus.

More IOF units broke into Jenin city and its refugee camp along with the Qabatia and Arraba villages south of the city but no arrests were made.

IOF sources said that resistance fighters in Balata refugee camp blasted a device in IOF patrols but claimed no casualties were sustained.

The Qassam Brigades armed wing of the Hamas Movement said it fired an anti-armored projectile at an IOF bulldozer east of Breij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip. The QB affirmed that the bulldozer was directly hit in the attack.

The Nasser Salahuddin Brigades the armed wing of the popular resistance committees also declared firing an “upgraded” locally made missile at the Sderot settlement in retaliation to IOF atrocities.
