GAZA (PIC)– IOF soldiers killed a Palestinian civilian while hunting birds in Abu Safiyya north of the Gaza Strip on Thursday medical sources reported.
They said that Majed Matar 34 was hit with a bullet in the head when the soldiers fired at him.
In another incident in the West Bank city of Jenin a member of the Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement on Thursday survived an assassination attempt at the hands of an IOF special unit.
Sources in the armed wing said that the activist was hit in his foot and that his wound was moderate but would not divulge his name for security reasons.
Meanwhile the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas Movement fired 11 home made mortar shells at a gathering for IOF armored vehicles south of the Gaza Strip at a late hour Wednesday.
The Salahuddin Brigades the armed wing of the popular resistance committees also fired a Nasser-3 locally made missile at the Israeli settlement of Kfar Aza to the north of Gaza.
Both armed wings affirmed that the attacks were in response to the IOF incursions and “savage practices” against the Palestinian people.
