JENIN (PIC)– Palestinian paramedic working in a specialized hospital in Nablus city was kidnapped at the hands of IOF troops Monday night after pretending they were officials in the hospital Palestinian sources affirmed.
The kidnapped victim was identified as Hameed Majed Daraghma 25 who was returning from his job in the hospital to his house in Tobas city few kilometers away.
According to family of Daraghma the paramedic received an urgent telephone call when he arrived home requesting him to immediately head back to the hospital as there was an emergency case admitted and needs more paramedic crew.
Believing in the principle of his profession Daraghma heeded the call and returned back to the hospital; but unfortunately he was arrested at the Bathan roadblock between Nablus and Tobas city where he came to know that the caller was an Israeli intelligence officer pretended to be an official in the said hospital.
An hour later large number of IOF troops backed by military vehicles ransacked Daraghma’s house and wreaked havoc on it before leaving the place with the victim to an undisclosed place.
The Nafha society which caters for the prisoners affairs condemned the arrest of Daragham and the way he was trapped saying that the IOF trick meant to “paranoid” Palestinian citizens and to force them refrain from answering calls.
The society in this regard urged human rights and legal organizations to stop Israel’s undermining of Palestinian patients’ lives and human rights.
