IOF soldiers storm Tulkarem hand summonses to tens of citizens

Saturday 11-July-2009

TULKAREM (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Saturday stormed the city of Tulkarem and its two refugee camps broke into many homes amidst random shooting and handed tens of citizen’s summonses to appear before the Israeli intelligence office west of the city.

Local sources said that the campaign came less than 24 hours of a similar one at dawn Friday where the same scenario was repeated.

They pointed out that most of those summoned to the intelligence office were Hamas supporters especially university students many of whom were kidnapped by PA security elements loyal to former PA chief Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank.

In the same context the IOF command announced that the liberated prisoner Abir Oda 27 was detained at noon Thursday east of Tulkarem at Annab roadblock at the pretext she was carrying a knife in her purse.

Oda was arrested on the same charge before and served almost three years in Israeli jails on four separate occasions.

IOF troops also at dawn Saturday burst into Jenin city and its refugee camp roamed the streets then withdrew without arresting anyone.
