NABLUS (PIC)– IOF special units ambushed and assassinated a Palestinian resistance activist in a pre dawn raid Sunday in the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus city.
Eyewitnesses said that Yousef Al-Asi 22 was heading to his family home to wake up his family before Suhur (last meal before fasting from dawn to dusk in the holy Islamic month of Ramadan) when the IOF troops peppered his body with bullets.
They added that Asi was carried to hospital and underwent a number of urgent surgeries but he succumbed to his fatal wounds.
The AMB the armed wing of Fatah faction mourned the deceased saying that he was one of its cadres.
In another refugee camp in Nablus a Palestinian youth was hit with IOF bullets in his back and shoulder. Locals in Beit Al-Ma refugee camp west of Nablus said that Ayman Mabrouk was carried in a Palestinian ambulance for treatment but an IOF unit intercepted the vehicle and arrested the wounded youth.
A number of other young men were reportedly injured it he same refugee camp during the IOF troops’ incursion.
The invasion soldiers stormed a number of Nablus suburbs since the early morning hours Sunday.
