Dozens of Israeli infantry soldiers were deployed on Sunday evening in al-Jaberiyat neighborhood in Jenin city and combed its streets.
According to eyewitnesses the soldiers made a wide sweep of the neighborhood which leads to Burqin road and set up a makeshift checkpoint.
The soldiers also obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles at the checkpoint.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) recently intensified their presence in different areas of Jenin as part of a large-scale manhunt campaign intended to capture or kill Ahmed Naser Jarrar a wanted resistance fighter from al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas.
Jarrar is accused of participating in a recent drive-by shooting attack that killed a Jewish settler near the illegal outpost of Havat Gilad in the occupied West Bank.
